Effects on Vietnams economy: Hospitality and tourism
Effects on Vietnams economy: Hospitality and tourism Tourism which plays an important part in the economy of Vietnam creates lots of jobs and export value. Nevertheless, there are still many difficulties that Vietnam has to overcome in order to make our dream becoming one of countries which is famous for tourism come true. Vietnam is one of members of Southeast Asia, which has a lot of exciting economic activities in general and tourism in particular. Vietnam has a lot of advantages to develop tourism. Therefore, to make Vietnam an ideal tourism destination, our country should have specific strategies for this goal. First, one strategy for Vietnam tourism development is international cooperation. In order to stimulate sustainable tourism growth, the Vietnam government should increase the cooperation with many countries around the world, especially Asian ones. For example, many events were held for the friendship and solidarity of Vietnam and Laos in 2012. To mark the 50-year anniversary of 2 countriesââ¬â¢ diplomatic relations and the 35-year signing of friendship and cooperation treaty, Vietnam organized the third Vietnam-Laos friendship festival. In addition, Vietnam has cooperated with Japan tourism authority and will receive 1 million Japanese arrivals to Vietnam in 2015. The 40th day of remembrance of bilateral relationship between Viet Nam and Japan in 2013 in culture, sports and tourism activities is an important landmark for the bilateral tourism cooperation. From these examples, we can see that to improve tourist industry, Vietnam should boost international tourism cooperation with o ther countries and international organizations, and links our tourism market with regional and world tourism ones. Moreover, Vietnam should expand bilateral and multilateral cooperation relationship to gain the support of other countries and international organizations, accelerate Vietnamââ¬â¢s tourism development and integration, and increase the image and status of Vietnamââ¬â¢s tourism in the international arena. The second strategy to improve tourism industry is infrastructure development in line with environmental protection. For a sustainable tourism development, it is extremely necessary that the tourism infrastructure system should be invested appropriately. Vietnam opened its door to the world in 1994. Vietnam has a lot of tourism potentials. Vietnam is changing to make tourism better. Vietnam should pay attention to the number of air transport of passengers when the country becomes the favorite destination for international visitors. We should upgrade and expand the system of international airports, increase the well-equipped planes, open new routes to many cities in the world, and increase the quality of the flights to meet the needs of tourists. For example, Vietnam is planning to build Long Thanh international airport with a large amount of capital investment to serve more foreign tourists. In recent years, Vung Tau has been a specific example of developing infrastructure in line wi th environmental protection. Vung Tau city has measures to conserve the environment. Many hotels in Vung Tau have met criteria on the environmental protection and contributed to saving energy. Furthermore, many tourism areas and hotels in Vietnam should focus attention on investing in standard systems of treating sewage and garbage, clearing beaches, cultivating trees, looking after gardens, and creatingclean environment and beautiful scenery to serve tourists. The next is human resource development for tourism. Vietnam needs to have some plans to develop human resources for tourism industry both in terms of quality and quantity. The tourism human resources in Vietnam should learn occupational skills and knowledge. They are directly influencing serviceââ¬â¢s quality, touristââ¬â¢s satisfaction and the professionalism of the tourism sector. Schools and universities specializing in tourism should develop a network of strong tourism training establishments with modern technical and teaching equipment. The purpose of this training is to build the professional tourism labor force having practical skills and experience to please the tourists coming to Vietnam. Vietnam should diversify tourism professions that will help to increase the tourism workforce and competition with other countries. Reinforcing foreign language for people who work in tourism is a necessary factor to help Vietnam integrate with the worldââ¬â¢s tourism industry. In the past, many tour guides couldnââ¬â¢t speak English and other languages, or they only used body language with simple words to express what they wanted to talk about. In a competing environment with other countries, Vietnam should invest in training labor force with ability of communicating with foreigners fluently. Our countries should have many programs about sponsoring the excellent or well-qualified students to study overseas to widen their mind about tourism, which is very helpful for Vietnam. After they have experience of tourism business from many countries, they will contribute what they learn to the construction of nation. According to the travel recommendation, Vietnam is facing many challenges, fierce competition with countries in the region such as Malaysia, Thailand, Cambodia. On the other hand, the neighbors have very huge marketing investment campaigns in order to increase the attractiveness of tourism market, so the ability to attract tourists in Vietnam becomes more difficult. On July 11th 2012, group of international experts came to Vietnam to assist our country make a tourism marketing scheme and a plan for tourism growth in the future. The experts aided the Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) to develop advertising schemes in 3 terms: short, medium, and long. In addition, they helped VNAT analyze information from 7 important markets. From expertsââ¬â¢ report on trademark concepts, communication channels, marketing instruments and action strategies. Vietnam acknowledged that advertisement was a key point in developing tourism and increasing the competition in international ar ena. Vietnamââ¬â¢s tourism industry should have a strategy and clear developing target for marketing activities, and effectively advertise about the diversity of tourism products offered and main tourism areas, prolong the time of visitorsââ¬â¢ temporary residence to attract tourists back. Moreover, we should have tourism websites introducing destinations, and expand the system of foreign travel offices to make the marketing better. Vietnam pressingly needs to use many new trademarks and contemporary advertising tools to highlight its tourism image. With the coastline of over 3000 km, 2700 small and large islands, many beautiful beaches and famous bays, Vietnam has a lot of opportunities for sea tourism development such as Vung Tau, Da Nang, Nha Trang, Ha Long, Phu Quoc, Phan Thietâ⬠¦ From now then on, Vietnam should push beach-island tourism effectively. Sea tourism is considered as a scheme and a strong point in Vietnam tourism. One of well-known destinations that attracts a large number of international tourists is Ha Long bay belonging to Quang Ninh province, and widely known by the beautiful landscape of limestone. Besides, Nha Trang and Da Nang are places having charming beaches on the world. The sea tourism industry attracts approximately 70% of international visitors, 50% of domestic tourists annually, and accounts for 70% of turnovers for the whole tourism. Moreover, Vietnam should focus on building many standardized hotels in coastal regions. It is necessary to organize the sea tourism fair at national and internat ional levels to develop brand and affirm position of Viet Nam sea tourism. Organization of the Viet Nam international sea tourism fair will contribute to promotion of sea tourism in Nha Trang ââ¬â Khanh Hoa in particular and Viet Nam in general. The growth of sea tourism not only helps people living near the beaches have jobs but also stimulates economic development. In addition, sea tourism of Vietnam should connect with national protection, security, and establish marine tourism areas to be able to compete with other countries. In the past, Vietnam was a nation having a long period of time in preventing invasion from strong enemy such as China, French, USA; therefore, nowadays, it becomes an interesting places which foreign visitors are curious to discover about its people, custom and culture. This is a good opportunity for Vietnam to develop cultural tourism. We should open many tours to famous destinations that still keep historic landmarks (Cu Chi tunnel, palace of independence) or cities having ancient features ( Hanoi capital, Thang Long citadel, Hue old capital). In addition, many traditional festivals should be encouraged to contribute to introducing the beauty of friendly culture to international friends. In conclusion, it is forecasted that in the next 10 years, Vietnam tourism industry will continue to grow rapidly. Nevertheless, to encourage the tourism potential of the country, we should know to take advantage of development chances and make good our shortcomings in coming years, which makes tourism play an important part in the national economy. .

Main Cause Of Environmental Issues In China Environmental Sciences Essay
Main Cause Of Environmental Issues In China Environmental Sciences Essay Population problems are one of the worlds most important social problems, and they are the cores of many contemporary social problems. Also, population problems are closely connected to environmental issues, and the earth is threatened by them. There are different kinds of population problems which China is facing now, and the problems of Sole child policy have begun to show: First, the overpopulation problem; second, the population aging problem; third, the decline of population quality problem. The statistics show that China has the biggest population in the world, and there are probably 1.3 billion people in China. In addition, the speed of population growth is amazing that the average annual growth rate is up to 0.57%. Large population and weak carrying capacity are the basic national conditions of China at this stage, and it is difficult to change in a short time. The population problem is a long-term problem in the primary stage of socialism in China, and it may lead to limited resources, less sustainability of the earth, and the poorer population quality. These results are all main causes of environmental issues in China, and the Chinese government has paid attention on these problems. Why China has too much population? The first reason is that China has low cost of having children. The lower cost of having children in the place, there will be the higher density of population. The geographical feature in China is that the western part is high, and the eastern part is low. The highest Tibetan Plateau in the western region has average 4,000 meters of altitude above sea level, and to the eastern coastal areas, it is less than a few hundred meters. This terrain condition is affected by Pacisic monsoon, which makes the rains concentrate on May to December. Also, the growth of crops needs moisture and temperature, and May to December in China has both heat and rain in the same period, these make China suitable for food planting, especially for the cultivation of high-yielding rice. In such areas suitable for the cultivation of rice, there will be more grain output in the same proportion. Using food as a unit of account to calculate, China has a lower cost of dependents. Therefore, a larger number of depen dent will make the population density be larger. The secondly reason can be that China has different cultures and different religions. Ancient Chinese thought that no offspring was a big problem, and in order to carry on the family line, they needed early marriage and childbearing traditions. Also, they were desired for sons, and they would not stop having babies until a son was born because they thought sons could support the parents when they got old. In addition, there can be another religious factor such as the East Asian religions restrict abortion. These directly cause that each family has many children, which is a basis of overpopulation in China today. The third reason of why there are many people in China is that after the liberation, medical conditions greatly improved, and the survival rate of babies was highly improved. Also, Chairman Mao in that period suggested that more people would have more power because of the demand of labor for the technology backward and lack of military power that time. In brief, these three reasons show that China has a huge population base, and with the growth of the population every year, it leads to overpopulation in China, which results in a series of environmental issues now. Why overpopulation in China causes environmental issues? With the growth of population and the improvement of product tools, the depth and breadth of the usage of the nature are perpetually expanded, and humans interference on ecological environment is bigger and bigger. When peoples business activities reverse natural original balance and coordination, and the nature cannot make up itself for the damage by human activities, there will be a series of ecological environmental issues. It can be reflected through many aspects such as limited resources, serious pollution, and decease in biodiversity. Because the population is becoming bigger, the demand of industry for resources and economy in China is becoming bigger. However, the industry is like a double-edged sword, and at the same time it brings prosperity and civilization, it also brings negative effects. Due to various reasons, Chinas not very large industry destroys natural ecosystems, and increases environmental pollution. From a domestic perspective, as city as a center, the range of environmental degradation is still expanding; soil erosion and desertification degree aggravated; resource destruction and waste is widespread, and some important resources gap gradually widened. Environmental pollution and degradation become one of the main factors restricting the sustainable development of Chinas economy and threatening the health of people. In 2002, the worlds forest coverage rate is 31.3%, but China is only 14%. Due to the irrational use of pasture, the grassland shows degradation, desertification, and salinization trends, and the average grass yield decreased by 30%-50%. In the arid and semi-arid areas, precipitation is far below evaporation, and vegetation is sparse and the ecology is fragile. The mild human activity is likely to lead to land degradation and desertification. China is one of the worlds most serious soil erosion countries, and serious soil erosion and desperate short of water resources eventually led to the devastating floods and Southwest drought in 2010. In northern China, the desert, Gobi, and desertified lands have reached 1.54 million square kilometers, accounting for 16% of the total land areas. Also, the biodiversity is continuously decreased. According to Stancheva, she said that: All of the previously described effects of overpopulation on the environment lead to the destruction of the natural habitat of many wildlife species (Stancheva). Chinas biodiversity is very rich, and higher plants and biological species account for 10% of the world. However, biodiversity is under a double threat from population growth and environmental degradation. Nearly half a century, China has more than 1,000 kinds of species extinction, which include about 200 species of higher plants. 15%-20% of plants and animal species are endangered, including about 4,600 species of higher plants and 400 kinds of wild animals. In addition, because of overpopulation, the industry activities become more important, which brings population. The air pollution is very serious, and the quality of atmospheric environmental in more than 500 cities cannot reach international standards. The pollution comes mainly from coal-fired release of carbon dioxide, sulfur dioxide, smoke, dust pollution, and automobile exhaust pollution. In addition, the quality of water environment is deteriorating due to industrial wastewater discharge. The levels of pollutants in the water environment is far more than national quality standards, even infiltrating contaminated groundwater, which leads to the situation that local residents have no water to drink. Also, the emissions of solid waste are increasing, but the treatment rate and comprehensive utilization rate is not high. Finally, the noise pollution in the city becomes a major hazard. National regional environmental noise pollution rate is among the highest in the world. In general, higher demand for industry activities causes a series of environmental problems such as the lost of forest, the soil erosion, the decrease in biodiversity and pollution. Also, higher demand for industry activities is a result of overpopulation. Therefore, overpopulation is an indirect factor of environmental problems. The solutions for environmental problems caused by overpopulation The first solution is that accelerate the progress of science and technology to improve the sustainability. The government must enhance Chinas resources alternative capacity and ability to regenerate; the government also needs to enhance the assimilative capacity of the environment to reduce waste emissions. The second solution is improving education and health situation, and enhancing peoples quality. Environmental issues are very close to peoples quality problems, and sustainable development requires changing the traditional values of the environment to make everyone shoulder the responsibility to promote human harmony with the environment. The third solution is insisting on the national policy of family planning to reduce the burden on the environment. It is necessary to strict control of population growth, and to make the population growth rate in the level of which economic power and the supply of resources can withstand. The final solution can be improving resource utilization and reducing resources wasted. To conserve resources not only needs to reduce waste of resource consumption, but also must reduce the waste of resource development. At present, China has a serious waste in resource development. Also, strengthening the management of resources and improving resource utilization are an important part of the coordination of relations between people and lands. In conclusion, overpopulation is one of Chinas population problems, and if the government and people do not pay attention on it and do not have some solutions for it, there will be a huge damage to the environment.

Insensitive Listening Exemplified in an Episode of Two and a Half Men E
During the last segment of Two and a Half Menââ¬â¢s, ââ¬Å"Love isnââ¬â¢t Blind, Loveââ¬â¢s Retardedâ⬠episode there are clear examples of pre-occupational thought, ambushing, and insensitive listening. The person who demonstrates pre-occupational thought is also the airhead of the bunch who has a difficult time listening to anything anybody tells her. For this reason, sheââ¬â¢s also the person who used the ambushing technique against Allan when he was trying to have a conversation with her. Unfortunately, for Charlie he was a prime target for insensitive listening even though his girlfriend wasnââ¬â¢t even trying to be so cold to his feelings. Charlie has been seeing Kandi off and on throughout the entire season until meeting another woman by the name of Mia whom he actually falls in love with instead of just using for his sexual desires. Not realizing that she has been replaced Kandi comes over to visit Charlie. With Mia being in the house Charlie convinces his brother, Allan to distract Kandi which he does in order to help the situation. Allen winds up falling for Kandi which permits Charlie to continue his relationship with Mia. After two months of dating Charlie and Mia are finally ready for consummation their mature relationship. Just as everything seems to be going right, everything ends up go wrong whenever Charlie comes close to the coveted carnal deed. Allan and Kandi are sitting on the couch inside Charlieââ¬â¢s living room having an adult conversation after Allanââ¬â¢s son, Jake, goes to sleep. Even though it would appear that Kandi is intently listening to what Allan has to say it soon becomes clear that all thatââ¬â¢s on her mind is having sex. For instance, after Allan gives up attempting to get through her uneducated brain he says, ââ¬Å"Iââ¬â¢ll ... ...Whatââ¬â¢s the BIG deal?â⬠Shocked Charlie says, ââ¬Å"Whatââ¬â¢s the big deal? This is the part of the relationship Iââ¬â¢m GOOD at!â⬠Realizing she has just made him feel upset she attempts to brush it off and move onto a moment that could potentially change the mood. This illustration shows that sometimes without even trying you can become an insensitive listener by only picking up the superficial content of a conversation. As Two and a Half Menââ¬â¢s episode ââ¬Å"Love isnââ¬â¢t Blind, Loveââ¬â¢s Retardedâ⬠adduces even in a short ten minute time frame pre-occupational thought, ambushing, and insensitive listening happen far more frequently than any speaker would hope. Fortunately, there are ways in which to avoid using such actions or listening skills and one of those is simply by learning about them. The next time itââ¬â¢s my turn to listen thoughtfully Iââ¬â¢m going to try my best, what about you?

Revealing Essay -- Personal Narrative Writing
Revealing And oh ye high flown quills that soar the skies, And ever with your prey still catch your praise, If e'er you deign these lowly lines your eyes, Give thyme or Parsley wreath, I ask no Bays. My motherââ¬â¢s most memorable words of advice on sex were doled out to me at the tender age of six. Her prematurely passed on advice lost its sentiment for a couple of reasons. In spite of my kindergarten experiences, I had no idea how to ââ¬Å"getâ⬠myself pregnant, (the phraseology obviously conveying that it only takes one to tango). After too many conversations carried on within my earshot about labor pains, forceps, episiotomies, and pre-labor enemas by the late-teen to early twenty something army of military mothers that hung out at our house in a cloud of cigarette smoke and swearing, the thought of pregnancy terrified me. My mother parented primarily through scare tactics hoping to control my behavior through fear. She warned me of many taboos including the lewd act of â⬠¦.writing. Before being forced to drop out of high school due to her pregnancy with me, she decided to bring a diary to school. Somehow, she lost it. The book fell into the hands of the adminis tration after being passed around the school population. Reaction rates of marble chips :: essays research papers
How can we speed up the reaction between Calcium Carbonate and Hydrochloric Acid? Contents 1. Plan Aim Equipment Variable Factors Prediction Method Trial Run 2. Results Results Tables 3. Analysis and Conclusions Graphs Conclusions 4. Evaluation Accuracy Of Results Reliability Improvements Extending the Investigation 1. Plan Aim I am doing this experiment to find out how I can speed up the reaction rate between calcium carbonate and hydrochloric acid. Equipment This is the equipment I will use: Gas Syringe Glass Flask Calcium Carbonate Hydrochloric Acid Variable Factors The factors that could slow down or speed up this reaction are: The size of the Calcium Carbonate (marble) pieces ââ¬â This will affect how fast the acid reacts with the marble, the smaller the pieces, the bigger the surface area so the reaction can take place faster. The amount of Calcium Carbonate ââ¬â The more calcium carbonate there is, the more carbon dioxide will be produced and the larger the reaction will be. The amount of Hydrochloric Acid ââ¬â The more hydrochloric acid there is, the more carbon dioxide will be produced and the larger the reaction will be. The temperature of the materials ââ¬â The temperature of the materials determines how fast the reaction will take place. The hotter the materials, the faster the reaction and vice-versa. The concentration of Hydrochloric Acid ââ¬â The higher the concentration (strength) of the acid, the faster it will react. The purity of the Calcium Carbonate pieces ââ¬â The purity of the calcium carbonate will affect the speed of the reaction also. Prediction From previous experiments I have learned that if large pieces are broken into smaller pieces they react faster because they have more surface area. This is because at the molecular level, there are more molecules at the surface of the chips for the molecules of acid to react with when the chips are broken into smaller pieces. The same principle can be applied to the marble chips. The smaller the chips the more surface area so I predict that the smaller marble chips will react faster than the larger chips. Method Here is the set up: In this experiment I will be keeping the variables I mentioned earlier the same except one to keep the experiment fair. I will be changing the size of the marble chips to see which size reacts the fastest. The gas syringe is firstly clamped to the stand and a plastic tube and bung are attached to the syringe.
Art of Living Essay
I remember when I was young, Iââ¬â¢ve been wondering why people are living? Why we exist? Why do all these stuffs are here on earth? There are lots of questions filled up my mind yet I found no answer. I canââ¬â¢t think enough for these, I need answers; I have to know what is really the reason of oneââ¬â¢s existence. I am very much sure that in millions or billions of people who are living, itââ¬â¢s not only me who became curious on this matter. Many of us are wondering but only few have really the intention to know. Knowledge on self exists; but sincere seekers are rare. We people are used to the concept of ââ¬Ëroutineââ¬â¢ that we do daily activities systematically and so we better not bother ourselves asking and just do what we have to do. But in the end of the day, youââ¬â¢ll still ask who am I? We all know that life is subjected to four laws: birth, disease, old age and death but letting go, and paying attention to what is always present naturally allows this divine life to overtake your existence. Existence of something does not only ends with the point that it exists but to what purpose and position it stands for. We people came from the Superior Soul, our God who has given us the life. We have a superior therefore we are the inferior. We are dominated and controlled as our position here. And our natural function is to render loving service to God as we serve in this world. Somebody told me there are two kinds of world: the material world which is made up of matter and subjected to perish, a world where nothing is permanent; and secondly the spiritual world or the ââ¬Å"Kingdom of Godâ⬠where thereââ¬â¢s no night or day and full of bliss. Now, we are already living in the first kind of world, the question is how can we be in the second world? And thatââ¬â¢s simply by being conscious or aware, the things being portrayed by Sat-Chit-Ananda and doing our real purpose which is to follow him and his instructions. Being a Christian we are told of two major instructions. The first and foremost is ââ¬Å"Love God with all your heart, mind and entire beingâ⬠and the next is ââ¬Å"Love your neighbors even your enemiesâ⬠Loving your enemies is something near impossible but not doing it is what we call ââ¬Ëfalse Christianityââ¬â¢. For us to follow Him and do His instructions there must be selflessness or God-consciousness within us, andà one of the best things that shows selflessness is something portrayed in art works. Some would say, art is a way of expressing oneself but itââ¬â¢s not mostly like that. We would be selfish not selfless if we will make an art just to express our views, yet an artwork would be something great if it would be a catalyst of peace and other environmental issues. An artwork is beautiful because of its purpose that must connive with the natural function of the artist as a man-to serve God. We donââ¬â¢t just live here, we exist for a purpose and that is the art of living.

Barney: Responding Essay
1. Between the journal entries from September 10th and 11th, the rat has trapped the scientist by biting the rope while he was in the well, so he is either dead or alive at the bottom of the well. 2. Tayloe was fired because of poison trails leading up to Barneyââ¬â¢s dish, and in the scientistââ¬â¢s point of view, Tayloe tried to kill the rat because he thought he was getting too smart. The scientist rationalized on this thinking that this was under the influence of alcohol, that the life on the island was too much for him, and that he lost his guinea pigs. 3. The real cause for the dismissal was because the rat tricked the scientist into firing him, by placing poison trails leading up to his dish. Barney needed to get rid of Tayloe for two reasons. The first is Tayloe said Barney was getting too smart, so he was worried he would try and kill him. The second is that Barney was already plotting to kill the scientist, and it would be much easier to do so with Tayloe gone. Foreshadowing of the surprise ending was ââ¬Å"He denied it. Who else then? â⬠This would make you think of who would have actually tried to poison Barney of the two of them, even though it was neither. 4. One sample of irony in the second last paragraph is ââ¬Å"I have now replaced that section or rope and arranged some old sacking beneath it to prevent recurrence of the accident. â⬠This is ironic because the scientist believed the rope was weathering because of the edge of the masonry, and in trying to fix the problem, he arranged sacking underneath the rope. But this will do no good, as the rat was biting the rope, and later gets him trapped in the well with the same strategy. In the same paragraph, another sample of irony is ââ¬Å"Perhaps I should fix myself a sandwich as I may be down there longer than seems likely at the moment. â⬠This is ironic because the scientist thinks he will be in the well longer than he hopes. But little does he know, he will be down there for the rest of his short life. In the final paragraph, third sample of irony is ââ¬Å"I sprayned my wrist is why this is written so bad. â⬠This is very ironic because this is the rat pretending to be the scientist so that nothing is fishy. But a sprained wrist doesnââ¬â¢t affect spelling, may just slur a few words. 5. ? 6. The story is written in journal form because it has to have time between each paragraph. For example, there has to be a gap between the second last and last journal entry, for the point of view to change (scientist to rat). 7. Well, the reultz of my experimentt argh complete. The ratt turned very very smart. The end.
